“Tree” is a vertical stainless steel sculpture symbolizing three directions in which a tree grows, the top and bottom rectangular shapes represent the upward and downward growth of branches and roots, and the center circle represents the outward growth from the trunk.

This project was funded through a Minnesota State Arts Board’s 2023-2024 grant program, Creative Support for Individuals. The sculpture was inspired by the accessibility of trees. My proposal for this grant project was to create a sculpture to be displayed in an accessible public space in Minnesota. “Tree” is currently featured in the Delano Sculpture Park as part of the 2024 – 2025 Sculpture Walk in Delano, MN.
